MILLENNIUM DOG WALKERS - POLICIES
At Millennium Dog Walkers, our goal is to provide reliable, safe, and consistent care for your dog while maintaining fair expectations for both clients and walkers. Please review our policies below before booking services.

Scheduling & Service Windows
Arrival Windows
Millennium Dog Walkers operates within arrival windows, not exact appointment times.
- We require a minimum 2-hour arrival window for all weekday walks (ex. 11am - 1pm)
- Midday walks may occasionally require a longer window depending on route density, traffic, weather, and your assigned walker’s schedule.
- Specific arrival times cannot be guaranteed unless explicitly arranged in advance and confirmed by our team.
Arrival windows allow us to account for Chicago traffic, weather, building access delays, and the safety of all dogs on a route.
Weekly Scheduling & Request Deadlines
We schedule services one week at a time.
- Our team will reach out on Friday via text.
- Weekly schedules are finalized every Sunday for the upcoming week.
- All requests or changes for the upcoming week must be submitted by Sunday at 12:00 PM (noon).
Same-Day Requests
- We can often accommodate same-day walk requests.
- Same-day requests are never guaranteed and depend on walker availability and route capacity.
Weekend Requests
- Requests for Saturday or Sunday service must be submitted by Wednesday at 12:00 PM (noon) for that same weekend.
- Late weekend requests may not be accommodated, depending on our availability. We always strive to accommodate everyone.
Cancellations & Changes
Weekday Cancellations
- We happily allow same-day weekday cancellations! Just let us know by 10:00 AM to avoid being charged for the walk. After 10:00 AM, the full cost of the scheduled walk may apply.
Weekend Cancellations
- Since weekend schedules are typically set further in advance, we kindly request 24 hours’ notice for weekend cancellations. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled walk may be charged the full walk rate.

Holiday Cancellation Policy
Due to increased demand and limited holiday availability, the following cancellation policy applies:
- Holiday cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice.
- A 50% cancellation fee will be applied for holiday cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice.
By booking holiday services, clients acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy. Holiday services are reserved in advance and scheduled specifically for your pet, which is why late cancellations are subject to a partial charge.
General Policies/Notes
- Clients are responsible for ensuring safe and reliable access to their home (keys, lockboxes, doormen, gate codes, etc.).
- Millennium Dog Walkers reserves the right to adjust routes, timing, or services due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.
Winter Weather & Safety:
Chicago winters can be unpredictable, and the safety and comfort of both dogs and walkers is always our top priority. During freezing temperatures, extreme wind chill, snow, ice, or other hazardous conditions, Millennium Dog Walkers may shorten walks, provide potty breaks in place of full-length walks, or modify routes as needed. While we always aim to provide the best possible service, full-length walks are
not guaranteed during severe winter weather. Safety-based adjustments do not qualify for refunds or credits, as time and care are still being provided. Weather-related decisions are made in real time by our team and walkers, based on current conditions, and are intended to keep everyone safe and comfortable.
